Victoria Foods celebrates 75 years of high quality self raising, plain flour, roller and refined mealie-meal as well as pre-packed dry foods such as rice, kapenta, salt, sugar beans, sugar and popcorn.
Victoria Foods has three mills (two in Gweru and one in Harare). The Victoria wheat and maize mills each produce 150 metric tonnes of flour and maize meal per day respectively.
Victoria Foods uses the semi automated German manufactured Bühler milling equipment. Bühler is a global market leader in the supply of flour and maize meal production plants.

Our Roller Meal brand has an extended shelf life as compared to hammer milled meal whilst the Pearl White brand has a finer texture, tastes smoother, is easy to cook and requires less meal than other less refined maize meals. These are packed in quantities ranging from 5kg to 50kg.

Mount Mulanje Rice has a long grain with a distinct aroma during cooking, has an exceptionally delicious flavour and is imported direct from Mt Mulanje in Malawi.

We donate to the less privileged
In accordance with a formalized budget Victoria Foods donates to schools, churches and the less privileged and various institutions including but not limited to Diggleford Primary School, Mbare AFM church and Anglican Church.
Recipe of Choice
Christmas Cake
- 3 tea cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons old brown sugar or ¼ cup tea
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 teaspoons almond essence
- 1 lemon grated rind
- 4 eggs
- 4 tablespoons milk, sherry or brandy
- 1 tablespoon treacle
- Sieve together all the dry ingredients
- Mix and peel cherries, fruits, almond essence and lemon rind
- Whisk the eggs, milk and sherry or brandy together
- Cream the fat, sugar and black treacle until soft
- Add the flour and egg mixture alternatively to the creamed mixture – do not overheat when mixing
- Lastly, stir in the fruit mixture and put into the cake tin, lined inside with double thickness of greased paper round the sides and brown paper and grease proof paper at the bottom (not necessarily)
- Bake for 3 ½ hours or 180oC for 1 ½ hours
- Cool in cake tin, then store in airtight tin. Bake this cake 3 weeks before required

Raw Materials
The wheat or maize used in the milling of flour and mealie-meal is sourced from both local and international suppliers. We do not use GMO wheat or maize in our milling process in line with government policy.All imported grains undergo GMO Free Certification before they are used in the milling operations.
